Vital Venues wins Local Business Accelerator Competition

Vital Venues celebrates the beginning of its second year in style by winning £10,000 worth of advertising in the local press.  The Local Business Accelerator competition organised by Cornwall and Devon Media attracted hundreds of businesses, and the finalists had to pitch their proposals to a Dragons’ Den style panel of local business leaders.

The relatively new service from Cornwall Rural Community Council provides support for people managing village halls, community centres and other community buildings.

Jon Teague, of Vital Venues, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for us to get the message out about how Vital Venues can help volunteers managing community buildings.  Our package is established and our members are making significant savings on their running costs and saving a lot of time by utilising the management support.

As Vital Venues offers so much it has often been difficult to put across the full message, but winning this competition gives us enough advertising space to present a series of case studies of how different halls are benefitting from their association with Vital Venues.”

Vital Venues offers a huge package of membership benefits including financial incentives such as free labour towards repairs and maintenance, discounts on a wide range of services and products from insurance to staging, as well as access to specialist management advice and a lot more.
