Plans for the refurbishment of Treverbyn Community Hall are moving forwards with the recent appointments of Plymouth based Studiojb Architectural Services Ltd and Cornish Quantity Surveyors, Wm G Weller & Son Ltd. Working closely with Treverbyn Together and the project funders, SITA Cornwall Trust, they will be taking the approved designs and turning them into a reality.

The exciting new plans for the hall, which can now go ahead following a £250,000 grant from SITA Cornwall Trust, will include considerable improvements to the existing building, the addition of a mezzanine level and an extension to include new toilet facilities, reception area, ground floor meeting room and stair access to the mezzanine.

Sara Marsh, Secretary for Treverbyn Together committee explained “We are delighted to be working with Studiojb and Wm G Wellers on this project; they have an excellent understanding of what we are striving to achieve and although we are working to a tight
timescale and budget we are confident that by this autumn we will have a fabulous new community facility. ” Sara went on to say, “We have already had a high level of interest from several firms wishing to be involved in the works; Invitation to Tender documentation will be going out at the end of this month and we hope the selected contractor will start on site in March, we are aiming for a completion at the end of October.”

Paul Pethick from Studiojb said “We are very pleased to be working with Treverbyn Together on this project, the benefits that this project brings to the local community are significant and we are delighted to be able to play a part in turning the aspirations and plans of this community into reality.”
