Treverbyn Community Hall, a Stenalees based charity, is one of four charities in the area to be selected for a Lloyds Bank Community Award.

Earlier this year, over 7,000 community groups across England, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and Channel Islands were nominated to the Lloyds Bank Community Fund.  Of that  1,400 causes in 350 communities were then shortlisted for the Community Fund award.  You can find out more about the Lloyds Bank Community Fund by clicking here.

Four local causes in every area will be awarded funding depending on the number of votes they receive. The group with the most votes will get £3,000, the next £2,000, £1,000 and finally, £500.

Jenny Cant, a Trustee for Treverbyn said “We are really pleased to have been selected by Lloyds for this award; it recognises the important role that the hall has to play for so many people in the community.  It’s very easy for people to vote, they can do it online, by text or by going to a local Lloyds branch.  Voting ends on the 10th October and so we really need people to show their support now.  The money from the award will go towards the running costs of the hall, enabling us to keep the hire costs down for  community groups that use the hall, such as Treverbyn Youth Group.”

Support Treverbyn by giving them your vote.  Do it online or text ‘Vote TZP’ to 61119.  You can even vote in your local Lloyds Branch.
