Big-Engery-Saving-Week

Worried about paying your fuel bills this winter or just curious to make sure you are not over paying?  CRCC has a week of action planned to help people find out what support is available to them. There’s a whole range of information, grants and other support they may be entitled to. Click here for details.

Big Energy Saving Week is a joint project between Citizens Advice, Government and other voluntary and charitable organisations like us.

You can get involved with the Facebook and Twitter competitions CRCC are doing during the week.

The advice on offer is to:

CHECK – How to save money on your fuel bills by checking you’re not paying more than you have to (bring along your energy bills to one of our events)

SWITCH – Information and guidance on switching your energy supplier

SAVE – Simple steps for making your home more energy efficient

CRCC are able to support your events during October, so if you are having a Parish Council meeting, Village Hall Committee meeting, Luncheon Club, Memory Café, Carers Group etc…please give us a call and we can either come along and provide you with a FREE energy advice session or we can provide you with a pack of information and goodies to give out yourselves. Just let us know when and where your group is meeting.

CRCC can answer your questions and have lots of information available, such as:

  • Winter Fuel Allowance – do you know about the priority services register?
  • What if you are on a prepayment card?
  • What if you have a debt?
  • What is collective switching?
  • What grants are available to help people who are struggling?
  • Suggestions on energy improvement measures?

You can get involved in a number of ways:

  • Offer your support to help us promote these activities, we can provide you with the materials to distribute
  • Attend an event
  • Put on your own event with help from us or tell others so they can put on an event
  • Encourage front line staff to attend and/or book up a FREE energy advice session (minimum of 8 people required)
