An ‘Introduction to Safeguarding Adults who may be at risk of harm’ workshop will be taking place in Cornwall in the next few months.

This half-day workshop has been specifically designed for people working in the voluntary and community sector to help them understand their role and responsibilities and to be able to respond appropriately to any concerns they may have.

The workshop, which is funded by Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Safeguarding Adults Board, is free to attend for voluntary and community organisations. They will take place on:

5th April 2016, 9:30am – 12:30pm
The Merlin Centre, Hewas Water

8th June 2016, 9:30am – 12:30pm
The Merlin Centre, Hewas Water

18th July 2016, 9:30am – 12:30pm
The Hub Club, Pool

20th September 2016, 1:30pm – 4:30pm
Lescudjack Centre, Penzance

The workshop will cover:

– Why some adults may need help keeping themselves safe
– Different types of harm these adults might experience
– What  you must do when you have concerns about an adult’s welfare
