We can support your community venue to apply for a Big Lottery Awards for All Grant (maximum of £10,000) which could then go towards paying for IT services, training, equipment, furniture and a new or improved broadband connection.

We can help you write the grant application and check the final draft before it is submitted.

If the bid is successful, you can then buy in services from us and our partners to help create an IT hub at your venue for your local community.  The services and training could include:

  • Bespoke training for Beginner and Refresher groups
  • Bespoke training and support for Digital Champions ie your volunteers who wish to share their IT skills with others (please see attached leaflet)
  • Support and advice in setting up your own IT Club or Internet Café to help make your IT provision more sustainable for the future
  • Technical support
  • General funding advice and community support eg for building or renovation work for your venue

The equipment could include laptops, tablets and the infrastructure to have a better broadband connection. The furniture could include tables, chairs and lockable cabinets or cupboards.

The funding may also pay for a new connection and your line rental and broadband costs.  If applicable, your premises may be able to get an improved connection and you could use the funding to upgrade to Superfast Broadband.
